United for Medical Research congratulates Dr. Monica Bertagnolli on her Senate confirmation as the next Director of the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Bertagnolli’s deep experience as a surgical oncologist, her outstanding leadership as head of the National Cancer Institute, as well as her own experience as a cancer patient make her an ideal leader of the world’s premier biomedical research agency.
